Placid Lakes Community League

The board of the Placid Lakes Home and Property Owners Association (PLHPOA) is in the process of creating a 501C3 Corporation. It will co-exist with PLHPOA.  We hope to have it organized within the next few months.

Purpose:
The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational,
recreational, beautification and clean lakes including, for such purposes,
seeking private or government grants, donations, gifts, etc. to assist in funding
specified projects as directed by Board of Directors for the betterment of
Placid Lakes area. Also, the making of distributions to organizations that
qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Specifically, the Corporation aims to enhance opportunities for youth and
adults in education, recreation, community beautification and lake and canal
water improvements.

Mission Statement:
The mission of Placid Lakes Community League is to enhance the overall quality of life for residents by providing access to educational opportunities, promoting recreational activities, advocating for the preservation and cleanliness of lakes and canals, prioritizing community health and wellness initiatives, and spearheading beautification projects. Through our dedication to fostering a vibrant, inclusive community, we aim to create a sustainable environment where residents can thrive, learn, and enjoy a high quality of life.

Vision Statement:
The vision of Placid Lakes Community League is to be a catalyst for a vibrant and harmonious community where every individual enjoys an enriching quality of life. We envision a future where educational opportunities abound, recreational activities are accessible to all, our lakes and canals are pristine and preserved, community health is prioritized, and beautification projects enhance the natural beauty of our surroundings. Through our collective efforts, we aspire to create a welcoming and sustainable community that thrives on a foundation of shared well-being, learning, recreation, environmental stewardship, and civic pride.
